Alex Shattuck

Alex started his State Farm career as an Agent Team Member in 2009 before launching his first office in Owosso, MI, in 2012. He followed that with the launch of his New Market MOA in DeWitt, MI in 2018, and opened his third office -- in Rockford, MI – in December of ‘22.

During his Agency career, Alex has accomplished many of the company’s highest achievements including Ambassador Club, Lifetime President’s Club, Chairman’s Circle, SVP Club & Honor Club -- all in both offices. He has never missed travel in either office, and is also MDRT.

He is also a best-selling author. In 2021, Alex released the book “Complacency Kills” and later that year launched the recruiting company “Autopilot Recruiting”. In September of ’22 he released his second book “Small Business, BIG RECRUITING” and he will be releasing a third book written for team members titled “Complacency Kills Insurance Sales” on May 20th of this year.

Prior to his State Farm career, Alex earned a bachelor’s degree from Ferris State University and served in the United States Marine Corps. During his time with the Marines, he was an Infantryman and fought in Fallujah, Iraq in 2006 & 2007.

He currently resides in his hometown of Mason, MI with his wife, Erin, and four children Jocelyn, Lydia, Vince & Daphne.
